Onoagraceae

Buds are bright red balls. The flower has 4 red sepals that curl back to show 4 violet petals that remain pendulous. Red-orange anthers hang from pink filaments that originate from the center of the purple petals. Yellow-green leaves have lanceolate leaf shape and crenate margins. Stems are bright red.
