Cuphea hybrid 'Batface'

Lythraceae

Long lanceolate leaf shape with smooth margins. Stems are long and upright with longer internodes. Stems and leaves are medium green color. Buds are long, tubular, and green while fading to deep purple. Open flower is circular, purple and has white spots. Two large red petals with purple veins down the centers sit on the top of the purple base. Flower resembles bat's face, hence the name.
